You can’t help but feel a little sorry for Real Sociedad. In any other season, we would be beside ourselves with praise for the job Imanol Alguacil is doing at the club who have become most famous recently for their average mid-table finishes. The reason why is that the whites and Blues find themselves mixing it in the top four keeping a number of the established elite at bay. The problem though is Granada. The newly-promoted outfit have stolen all the headlines after sweeping to the top of the table (second now after Barca won last night) and have been doing a fine job of staying … [Read more...]

Granada the unstoppable force
Well, nobody expected this! As soon as Granada earned promotion from the Segunda Division last season after finishing as runners-up, no one in Spain’s top flight even battered an eye-lid. After all, it was hardly the first time Granada would be contesting a season in La Liga and considering the last time the Nazaríes finished inside the top flights top ten was in 1974, Granada were viewed by many as the whipping boys of the division once again. However, it seems manager Diego Martínez has been feeding his unfancied chargers a double dose of Weetabix as the find selves … [Read more...]

Stoke City Striker Target To Join La Liga Club
Stoke City's search for a new striker has been dealt a blow with one of their targets reportedly set to sign for a La Liga club. Real Madrid Probable Lineup vs Granada: Ronaldo and James looking to continue good form
Venue: Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes, Granada Date: 07/02/2016 Kick-off: 07:30 AM GMT / 2:00 PM EST Goalkeeper Keylor Navas had very little to do during Madrid’s 6-0 victory over Espanyol last weekend and with Granada having scored only 24 goals so far this season, the Costa Rican should not be too worried heading into Sunday’s encounter. That said though, Navas cannot afford to be complacent and it will be of paramount importance for the 29-year old to keep full concentration throughout the course of the match in order to avoid a potential upset. Defence The Real Madrid backline seems to have … [Read more...]

Ones to Watch in La Liga – Getafe to Rayo Vallecano
