Holloway Eyeing Improved Performance For Chelsea Clash
Blackpool manager Ian Holloway is hoping his side can churn out a much improved performance when the Tangerines host Champions League contenders Chelsea next Monday. A crushing 4-0 defeat away at Wolves last weekend put a very sour end to a positive week for the Seasiders following an emphatic 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur previously. Blackpool ran out shock 3-0 victors over Tottenham Hotspur this evening thanks to goals from Charlie Adam, DJ Campbell and Brett Omerod. Poor Start For Kenny Dalgish As Liverpool Suffer Defeat At Blackpool
Kenny Dalglish or 'King Kenny' as he's affectionately known on Merseyside had a less than pleasing start as his side threw away a one goal lead to lose 2-1 away at Bloomfield Road. Fernando Torres blasted in a driven shot to give Liverpool a dream start to the game but Ian Holloway's men were resilient and level ten minutes later thanks to Gary Taylor-Fletcher.
