Former Mainz boss Thomas Tuchel is the favourite to take over at the Anoeta, with ex-West Brom and Real Betis manager Pepe Mel also in contention. A painful last few minutes for Real Sociedad against Getafe have left them just outside the relegation zone with five points from eight games.
