Manchester City cruised to the last 16 of the Europa League thanks to goals from Edin Dzeko and Yaya Toure in their 3-0 win over Aris Salonika this evening. Man City were held to a goal-less draw in the previous leg but it was the £27m January signing Edin Dzeko who got on the scoresheet twice early-on after providing two calm finishes. Liverpool booked their place in the Europa League last 16 thanks to a late strike from forward Dirk Kuyt at Anfield this evening. Kuyt headed home in the 86th minute from a Raul Meireles corner to secure a dramatic 1-0 victory over Sparta Prague. Chelsea gave their Champions League hopes a massive boost this evening as they ran out 2-0 winners over FC Copenhagen thanks to two goals from Nicholas Anelka.
