Football betting and online casinos have not always had the closest links, but things are changing fast in this area. Many online operators are finding there are benefits from running sports betting markets alongside online casinos through the same website. A lot of top sports betting companies have already made moves in this area. It is reasonably common for online bookmakers to also offer games such as poker, bingo and slots. For anyone who wants to learn more, the Chipanalyst guide to online casinos is a useful read, but here we will look into the link between such sites and … [Read more...]
La Liga Mid-Season Betting Tips
We are just around the half way point in La Liga season and it is fair to say that Barcelona are outstanding candidates to win their 25th La Liga title. As it stands, they are nine points ahead of second-placed Atletico Madrid and, perhaps more crucially, 11 points ahead of bitter-rivals Real Madrid after winning the most recent el clássico. The leading UK bookmakers have installed Barcelona at a price of 1/20 to be champions, and it is hard to argue with their logic. However, there are some other odds-on bets for the La Liga season that really should be treated with caution. We will … [Read more...]
Sevilla v Atletico Madrid Preview
Once again it is Atletico Madrid who sit proudly top of La Liga looking to repeat their exploits from their title winning 2013/14 season. Whilst Diego Simeone's men's La Liga title odds are still pretty long, they still could be a good value bet for the Primera Division this season. However, Sevilla will harbour designs on top spot themselves as they welcome Atletico to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Sunday afternoon in what promises to be a heavyweight clash. Recent Form Sevilla The Los Rojiblancos (or the red and whites to you and me) come into the game of the back of four straight … [Read more...]
Valencia’s miserable season set to continue?
It is safe to say that the last 12 months have not gone to plan for one of Spain’s biggest clubs. Since the beginning of last season, Valencia have won a combined 11 league games out of 41, losing 19 in the process. So far this season they have lost all three opening games and sit just above bottom club Celta Vigo only on goal difference. A disappointing opening home loss to high flying Las Palmas preceded a 1-0 away loss to Eibar and last time out they were pipped at home by Real Betis 2-3 leaving Valencia pointless and facing extreme pressure from fans and board alike. The betting odds … [Read more...]
La Liga Title Race predictions
Barcelona are the defending Spanish champions and bookmakers' odds-on favourites to win the title in 2016-17 at a price of 8/11. Luis Enrique's side have made an impressive start to the season with a 5-0 thrashing of Sevilla over two legs in the Spanish Super Cup. They followed that up with a 6-2 hammering of Real Betis in their season opener whilst a 1-0 win at Athletic Bilbao at least secured three points at a ground that is not the easiest away game of the season. The Catalan club spent plenty of money over the summer - Jasper Cillessen replaces Claudio Bravo to compete with … [Read more...]

Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid betting preview
It's the Champions League Final, it's a Madrid Derby, and it could confirm Diego Simeone as the greatest manager in the history of football (in some eyes). There's a lot to play for, the crown as European Football's Kings, as well as the ultimate bragging rights over City neighbours, and...if you fancy a flutter, there could be some money to be made too. Now I realise that Simeone will have to go some way to beat the achievements of Bryan Robson's 1996-97 season (relegation and defeat in two cup finals), but he'll be doing a pretty impressive job nonetheless. … [Read more...]
Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid Prediction
On Saturday Evening the streets of the Spanish capital will be on lock-down as Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will descend on Lisbon to contest this year's Champions League Final. Real have won 2 and drawn 1 of the 4 matches they have played this season, including an impressive 5-0 aggregate win in the Copa Del Rey but I can see the final being a tighter, cagey affair. … [Read more...]

Copa del Rey Final Preview
In what is set to be one of Jose Mourinho's final games in charge of Real Madrid, the Portuguese manager aims to bow out of Spain on a high as he so usually does by beating arch rivals Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey Final. 'The Special One' has led Real to one league title, one Super Copa and a Copa del Rey already in his three years in charge but defeat would mean he ends the season trophyless for the first time in five years. Atletico meanwhile will be vying to overturn their horrific record against Real having not beaten their neighbours in over 13 years. … [Read more...]
