Tottenham Hotspur challenging Barcelona for South American sensation

According to reports from the Sun, Tottenham are currently involved in a battle with Barcelona in the race to sign Ajax Amsterdam defender Davinson Sanchez.

Tottenham’s lack of activity during the current transfer window would most certainly have frustrated the club faithful but as an encouragement, Spurs are getting linked with numerous players in recent times and it does look like the North London side will be bringing in a couple of new faces to the club before the end of the summer transfer window.

Now according to reports from the Sun, claims are being made that Tottenham are currently interested in acquiring the services of Davinson Sanchez and that they will have to compete with Spanish giants Barcelona in the race to sign the Colombian international.

Sanchez has managed to impress many in Europe since making a move to Ajax back in 2016 and the promising 21-year-old is currently being eyed up by some of the very biggest clubs in the world.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is well known for his ability to nurture young talent into world class players and the Argentine reportedly views the £35million-rated Sanchez as the ideal player to provide competition to the likes of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld.
