According to reports from the Daily Express, Tottenham Hotspur will miss out on the signing of Mateo Kovacic to Juventus.
Tottenham Hotspur have endured a very quiet transfer window so far, having failed to bring in a single player to the club and the fans are certainly getting a bit anxious about the club’s lack of activity this summer.
Tottenham were expected to ramp up their pursuit for a host of targets in recent weeks but Spurs are yet to complete the signing of anyone and according to reports from the Daily Express, the North London side are set to miss out on the signing of Real Madrid’s Mateo Kovacic.
Kovacic was widely touted to be close to joining Tottenham after the club opened talks with the midfielder over a potential £22million transfer but it currently looks like the move will not be coming into fruition as Juventus have entered the fray.
Juventus are now expected to meet with the player’s representatives and it is very likely that the Croatian will be heading to Turin rather than North London this summer.
