According to Sky Sports journalist Bryan Swanson, Chelsea have joined the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur target Joao Cancelo.
Tottenham Hotspur are currently facing a bit of a crisis in the right-back position as they have already lost the services of Kyle Walker to Manchester City while Kieran Trippier has been ruled out for the start of the season due to injury.
As a result of the lack of options currently available at his disposal, manager Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be looking to acquire the services of a new right sided full-back in the coming days and a move for Valencia’s Joao Cancelo had been mooted.
However as a huge blow to Tottenham’s hopes of signing Cancelo though, it can be revealed by Sky Sports journalist Bryan Swanson that even Chelsea have joined in the race to sign the Portuguese international.
Chelsea are also in the hunt to sign a new right-back after missing out on Danilo to Manchester City and the Blues are now said to be looking to compete with Tottenham in the race to sign Cancelo.
