According to reports from the Daily Express, Tottenham Hotspur are looking to stave off Barcelona’s interest in Dele Alli by offering him a brand new contract.
It is looking very likely that Neymar will be leaving Barcelona for PSG this summer and the Catalan giants are already said to have started their search to find a replacement for the Brazilian superstar.
Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho has strongly been linked with a move to Barcelona in recent times but over the past few days, reports touting Tottenham star Dele Alli with a switch to the Nou Camp has also been gathering steam.
Tottenham would surely not want to lose a player as valuable as Alli though and if reports from the Daily Express are to be believed, Spurs are looking to convince the 21-year-old to stay put at North London by offering him a lucrative brand new £80,000-per-week contract which will put him on par with the club’s top earners such as Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris.

unless tottenham are prepared to pay more wages to their top stars, they have to understand that these players will have their heads turned by bigger clubs who pay double what tottenham are prepared to pay. tottenham are a club with big ambitions but in reality are not prepared to invest in the very good players that they have.
