According to reports from the Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur are planning a big money swoop for the duo of Mateo Kovacic and Filip Benkovic.
Tottenham Hotspur have surprisingly adopted a very passive approach in the transfer market and have not brought in a single new player to North London so far this summer.
However, it is now expected that Tottenham will be ramping up their efforts to recruit new players in the coming days and if reports from the Daily Star are to be believed, Spurs are currently considering big money moves for the duo of Mateo Kovacic and Filip Benkovic.
Kovacic has long been linked with a move to Tottenham during the current transfer window and it is expected that Spurs will be able to sign the midfielder for around £22million, with the player allegedly having requested Real Madrid to hand him permission to move to England this summer.
Filip Benkovic is another Croatian that is interesting Tottenham and Spurs are confident of luring the 20-year-old from Dinamo Zagreb by offering around £13.5million for his services.
