Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Veretout is currently in talks over a move to Real Betis, according to reports from L’Equipe.
Jordan Veretout arrived to Aston Villa from Nantes in the summer of 2015 amid much expectations but it has to be said that the Frenchman never really came close to justifying his huge price tag as Villa suffered an embarrassing relegation into the Championship.
Veretout did manage to revive his form after joining Saint Etienne on loan last season and he played a crucial role in helping the Ligue 1 side enjoy a fantastic campaign both domestically as well as in Europe.
Saint Etienne want to sign Veretout on a permanent basis this summer but it looks like they will be missing out as L’Equipe have gone on to claim that the Frenchman is currently already in talks to a make a move to Spanish outfit Real Betis instead.
Betis are said to have already agreed a transfer fee for Veretout and the 24-year-old is now expected to fly to Spain to hold discussions over personal terms within the next few days.
