Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing up a swoop for Argentine international Nico Gaitan from Atletico Madrid, according to reports from the Daily Mirror (Transfer news blog on Monday (20:06)).
Following a slow start to the season, Tottenham Hotspur have made a wonderful recovery in recent times and the fine run of form has meant that Spurs have moved themselves into contention to claim the Premier League title.
In order to earn the English crown though, Tottenham will probably have to strengthen their squad during the current January transfer window and a host of names have already been linked with a move to White Hart Lane over the past few weeks.
Now according to the Daily Mirror, Tottenham are currently eyeing up a swoop for Atletico Madrid attacking midfielder Nico Gaitan.
Gaitan has struggled for regular minutes on the pitch for Atletico Madrid since joining the club in a sizeable £21.8 million deal this summer and it is now widely believed that the Argentine international will be leaving the Vicente Calderon in January.
