According to reports from Spanish outlet Sport, Barcelona are planning to secure the services of Ajax defender Davinson Sánchez during the January transfer window.
Barcelona strengthened their backline with the signing of Samuel Umtiti over the summer but it does look like the Catalan giants need to acquire the services of a new defender soon, especially as Javier Mascherano is entering the twilight of his career.
Barcelona seemingly have started their search for a new centre back and now according to reports from Spanish outlet Sport, claims have been made that the Spanish champions are currently considering a swoop for Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez.
Sanchez has managed to impress many after joining Ajax from Atletico Nacional this summer and a number of top clubs are already said to have expressed their interest in securing the services of the young defender.
Barcelona are leading the pack at the moment and Sport have claimed that the La Liga giants will look to sign Sanchez in January after reportedly failing in their bid this summer (Daily Mirror).
