Goalkeeper
Keylor Navas has been in great form for Real Madrid recently and although he did concede two against Athletic, it was a solid performance from the Costa Rican once again.
Now with a clash against Roma up next, Navas will undoubtedly have to be at his best and one can expect the 29-year old to be busy at the Stadio Olimpico on the night.
Defence
Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos look certainties to be starting in central defence for the clash while Dani Carvajal should occupy his place in the right hand side of the backline.
Marcelo still remains an injury doubt ahead of the clash and if the Brazilian is not fit in time to start on Wednesday, either one of Danilo or Nacho could be deployed as the makeshift left full back.
Midfield
Luka Modric and Toni Kroos have been the foundation upon which Zidane has build is early success as Real Madrid manager and there is no doubting that the duo will be featuring at the middle of the park on Wednesday night.
Isco was surprisingly left on the bench for the clash against Athletic but the Spaniard is expected to return to the lineup at the expense of Mateo Kovacic this midweek.
Attack
With Gareth Bale failing to recover from his calf injury, James Rodriguez will lineup in attack alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.
Rodriguez, Ronaldo and Benzema have been creating quite a rapport between themselves in recent times and the trio will have to do well in order to breach the solid Roma backline on Wednesday.
