Granada News
Granada were considered to be fortunate to avoid the drop from La Liga last season but this time around, they might not be so lucky – especially if they do not bring about an upturn in their fortunes soon.
Currently in 19th place in the table, José Ramón Sandoval’s men have lost five of their last six La Liga matches and things are already starting to look ominous for the Nazaríes.
It is clear that Granada now need to somehow get back to winning ways soon but that will be easier said than done as they prepare to square off against a rampant Real Madrid side this weekend.
Injury Doubts: Víctor Yrondu Musavu-King, Piti, Adalberto Peñaranda Maestre, Diego Mainz, Uche Henry Agbo, Édgar Méndez
Granada Probable Lineup: Fernandez; Lomban, Babin, Biraghi, Foulquier, Rico, Perez, Ibanez, El-Arabi, Rochina, Success
Real Madrid News
Real Madrid got over their disappointment against Real Betis by smashing Espanyol 6-0 and manager Zinedine Zidane seems to have turned Los Blancos into a strong goalscoring machine.
Madrid are still four points off of leaders Barcelona though and with the Catalan giants showing no signs of slowing down, Zidane’s men also cannot afford any slip-ups.
Up next for Madrid is a clash against Granada and although the encounter can be seen as very winnable on paper, the giants will have to be careful not to suffer another away day blues like the one against Real Betis.
Injury Doubts: Gareth Bale, Pepe
Real Madrid Probable Lineup: Navas; Marcelo, Ramos, Varane, Carvajal; Modric, Kroos, Isco; James, Benzema, Ronaldo
Prediction
Real Madrid have claimed five consecutive victories over Granada and given the home side’s current woes, Los Blancos head into Sunday night’s clash as favourites once again.
Madrid are likely to be made to work hard for the first goal but once they find the back of the net, the floodgates could potentially open.
Granada 0 – 3 Real Madrid
