Venue: Nou Camp, Barcelona
Date: 03/02/2016
Kick-off: 8:00 PM GMT / 03:00 PM EST
Goalkeeper
Marc-Andre ter Stegen has continued to impress for Barcelona during the cup competitions and the German star will once again be starting in the Copa del Rey during the clash against Valencia on Wednesday night.
Valencia do possess a couple of dangerous attacking players in Paco Alcacer, Alvaro Negredo and Pablo Piatti, and as a result, ter Stegen will have to be at his best in order to keep a clean sheet.
Defence
Thomas Vermaelen has been starting in the Copa del Rey over the past few rounds but it is very likely that Enrique will be sticking with his first choice pairing of Javier Mascherano and Gerard Pique for Wednesday’s encounter.
Jordi Alba looks like a certain starter in the left back slot while it will be a toss-up between Dani Alves and Aleix Vidal on the right. Jeremy Mathieu did start against Athletic last time out and he will also be in contention to face his former employers.
Midfield
Andres Iniesta, Ivan Rakitic and Sergio Busquets all performed very well in the midweek encounter against Atletico and the trio look set to start in midfield against Valencia as well.
Enrique does have a lot of faith in young Sergi Roberto as well and it would not be a surprise if he started while Arda Turan is also within a good shout to make the starting lineup on the night.
Attack
Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez were at the end of some harsh treatment by the Atletico Madrid players last weekend but the trio eventually prevailed at the end.
Even Valencia are a good defensive outfit and the MSN trinity will have to play well in order to find the back of the net in midweek.
