Liverpool are keen on landing the services of former Real Madrid striker Javier Hernandez after their move for Alex Teixeira hits a stumbling block, according to reports from the Times.
It is no secret that Liverpool are currently in the market to sign a new striker and Brazilian star Alex Teixeira had been the main target for the Reds.
However, Liverpool are unlikely to be able to pull off a deal for Teixeira as they have been unable to agree on a fee for the striker with Shakhtar Donetsk.
Having seemingly missed out on Teixeira, Liverpool are not expected to bring in another striker to Anfield this month but the Times have claimed that manager Jurgen Klopp is already planning for the summer by eyeing a move for former Real Madrid striker Javier Hernandez.
It has been claimed that Liverpool are not willing to deal with Shakhtar once again for Teixeira due to the episode during the current January transfer window and are now instead keen on signing Hernandez next summer.
