Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has stated his belief that the Reds may be able to re-sign Barcelona superstar Luis Suarez.
Liverpool fans have been left very excited after club idol Luis Suarez recently hinted that he would be open to a return to England by rejoining Liverpool.
Now Suarez’s manager at Liverpool, Brendan Rodgers, has gone on to speak regarding the Uruguayan star’s potential return to Anfield.
Rodgers revealed that Suarez still holds a special place in his heart for Liverpool and added that the striker making a sensational return to the club is well within the realms of possibility.
Rodgers told talkSPORT, “You never know. I think he certainly misses the passion of the Liverpool supporters and he loved the competition of the Premier League. Luis is enjoying it out there at Barcelona, but I think if he did ever come back there would certainly be only one club he’d want to play for.
“He absolutely loved it at Liverpool, the supporters adored him and he gave absolutely everything. It’s a joy to watch him score goals [at Barcelona] and work as hard as he does for one of the best teams in the world, but you never know.”
