Premier League strugglers Aston Villa are eyeing a move for Balazs Megyeri, as suggested by HITC.
Aston Villa manager Remi Garde has been in the market to sign a new goalkeeper during the January transfer window and it looked like the Frenchman was on the verge of completing the £4.9million swoop for Lovre Kalinic.
However, work permit issues has meant that Villa are unlikely to be able to secure the services of Kalinic and as a result, Garde has now been left in a very difficult position, where he needs to sign a new goalkeeper target before the window closes within a week.
Garde certainly does not have any time to waste and now it has been suggested by HITC that the Villa boss is considering a move for Getafe stopper Balazs Megyeri.
Megyeri has struggled for regular first team football since joining Getafe from Olympiakos during the summer and is believed to be available for a transfer this month. Villa are said to be monitoring Megyeri and it will be interesting to see if the Premier League strugglers will be able to pull off a deal for the 25-year old on time.
