Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a big money move to sign Juventus striker Alvaro Morata, according to reports from the Metro.
It is no secret that Tottenham Hotspur have been in the market to sign a new striker to provide backup to Harry Kane for quite a while now and it is expected that Spurs will be ramping up their bid to bring in a new front man during the final few days of the January transfer window.
It has widely been claimed that Tottenham have recently placed a £17million bid for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino but now according to reports from the Metro and online bookie Betfred who are big on promotion codes, claims have been made that Spurs are also considering a swoop for Juventus star Alvaro Morata.
Morata has struggled for regular first team football at Juventus this season after falling down the pecking order behind the likes of Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic and as a result, the young Spaniard has been linked with a move away from Turin in January.
Liverpool were said to be leading the race to sign Morata but the Metro state that even Tottenham have joined in the race for the 23-year old and are readying a big money move in the coming days.
