Borussia Dortmund’s signing of Oliver Torres from Atletico Madrid is set to be a huge boost for Liverpool in their hopes of landing the services of Ilkay Gundogan, according to reports from the Daily Star.
Liverpool have long been linked with a move for Ilkay Gundogan – you can bet on his next club using a code available on Stan James – and the rumours touting the German international with a switch to Anfield has further intensified following the arrival of former Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp as manager at Merseyside a few months ago.
Now according to reports from the Daily Star, Liverpool could finally be able to land the services of Gundogan this January.
The reports claim that as Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of young midfielder Olivier Torres from Atletico Madrid, manager Thomas Tuchel is ready to listen to offers for Gundogan.
Gundogan is valued at around £20million by Dortmund and if Liverpool are ready to match the asking price, the German side would be happy to dispense with the services of the 25-year old.
