Ex-Everton winger Christian Atsu is set to join Spanish strugglers Levante on loan within the next few days, according to reports from Cadena Sur.
Atsu joined Chelsea from Portuguese giants Porto during the summer of 2013 amid much hype but the Ghanaian international has endured a downward spiral in his career since the switch to Stamford Bridge.
Having endured mediocre loan spells with Vitesse and Everton, Atsu joined Bournemouth in another temporary move during the summer but after struggling for playing time at the Vitality Stadium, the 24-year old was recalled in January.
Given his struggles at Bournemouth, it was clearly unlikely that Atsu will earn regular playing time at Chelsea as well and another loan move has been touted for the winger.
Now according to reports emerging out of Spain, claims have been made that Atsu is on the verge of joining Spanish side Levante in the coming days.
Levante are currently languishing at the bottom of the La Liga table and will be hopeful that the signing of a high profile player like Atsu will help turn their fortunes around.
