Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane moving to Real Madrid is unlikely to take place.
Harry Kane has emerged as one of the most prolific strikers in Europe over the past few years and it has been no surprise whatsoever to see the Tottenham Hotspur star being linked with some of the very best clubs around in recent times.
Premier League giants Manchester United were said to be keen on signing Kane while Chelsea had also been mentioned as suitors. Recently though, reports emerging out of Spain had claimed that Spanish giants Real Madrid were considering a move for Kane as contingency for the potential departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has now gone on to have his say regarding the rumors and has stated his reservations regarding Madrid making a move for Kane, despite Ronaldo likely to be leaving the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season.
When asked if Kane was heading to Real Madrid, Balague said, “I wouldn’t go too far on that, but something is going to happen this summer. Real Madrid feel that they may be banned for two transfer windows by FIFA, essentially like Barcelona.
“That would be perhaps either this summer or, the most optimists at Real Madrid think, could be the next winter, which gives them this summer the chance to change the side completely, which means that they will try to sell some of the big assets they have got, including (Karim) Benzema, Cristiano (Ronaldo) and bring new ones.”
