Spanish winger Gerard Deulofeu has stated that he is enjoying life in the Premier League with Everton in an interview for the Daily Star.
After struggling for regular first team football at Barcelona and Sevilla, Gerard Deulofeu made a return back to Everton on a permanent deal during the summer.
Since his return to Merseyside, Deulofeu has managed to set the Premier League alight with a host of electric performances and has already racked up 10 assists so far this season.
The£ 4.3million fee paid by Everton to secure the services of Deulofeu is looking like an absolute steal at the moment and the Spaniard could well go on to develop into one of the best players if he is able to maintain such a good run of form.
Now Deulofeu has been speaking regarding his second spell at Everton and has stated that he is very happy with his decision to return back to Goodison Park.
In an interview with the Daily Star, Deulofeu said, “In Barcelona I didn’t have chances in the first team so the fans did not really know me. Now in Everton I think I’m an important player in the squad and I’m really confident with my role in the team. That is so important. The fans love me a lot in Everton and that is amazing.
“My career needed this because Barcelona is the most important team in the world and it is so difficult there. It is tough for young players there who are not getting games. I needed to get games and time on the pitch. I come back here and I get that here. I get minutes and confidence. For me Everton is perfect.”
