Real Madrid are open to the idea of bringing back Jose Mourinho to the Santiago Bernabeu to replace Rafael Benitez, according to reports from Caneda Ser (cited by the Sunday World).
Jose Mourinho was recently sacked from his post as manager of Chelsea following the Blues’ terrible start to the season.
Despite his poor spell at Chelsea though, Mourinho remains a coveted manager for most top teams around in Europe and it is widely believed that Manchester United are considering appointing the 52-year old to replace under-fire boss Louis van Gaal.
United are not the only club interested in acquiring the services of Mourinho though as it can now be revealed that even Real Madrid are considering making a swoop for the Portuguese boss.
Mourinho managed Madrid between 2010 and 2013 and although the 52-year old did achieve success, he endured an acrimonious exit from the club.
Nonetheless, Madrid President Florentino Perez is keen on Mourinho and is said to be ready to dispense with the services of Benitez in order to bring the former Chelsea boss back to the Santiago Bernabeu.
