Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez has confirmed that both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have expressed their interest in signing him.
Perez arrived at Newcastle United from Tenerife back in the summer of 2014 as a relative unknown for a meagre £1.5million but since his arrival, the young striker has managed to take the Premier League by storm with a host of quality performances.
At 22, Perez has now gone on to become regarded as one of the best young strikers around in Europe and it has been no surprise whatsoever to see the Spaniard being courted by a host of top clubs.
Recently, it had been claimed that Perez was being monitored by Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United and that the Premier League duo are ready to splash as much as £15million to secure the 22-year old’s services.
Now Perez has gone on to speak regarding the speculation and has confirmed that both Tottenham and United are indeed interested in his services.
Speaking to Radio Club Tenerife, Perez said, “There is truth in the talk about interest in me. It’s rewarding for me. There is much truth in the interest from Tottenham and Man United, but my place is at Newcastle.”
