Arsenal have enquired about the availability of Real Madrid star James Rodriguez, according to reports emerging from the Daily Telegraph.
Arsenal have managed to prove their title credentials for this season by impressively seeing off Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium recently and many now feel that the Gunners are favourites to claim the crown this term.
However, recent history shows that Arsenal tend to squander good positions and in order not to allow such a collapse to occur this season, manager Arsene Wenger is believed to be looking to consolidate his side’s title chances by signing a couple of players.
As a result, a host of top names have been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent times and now according to reports from the Daily Telegraph, the Gunners have launched an enquiry regarding the availability of Real Madrid star James Rodriguez.
It had been touted that Real Madrid were looking to facilitate a swap deal involving Alexis Sanchez and Rodriguez but Arsenal do not want to part with the Chilean star and are instead hoping to sign the Colombian international outright in January.
