Tottenham Hotspur are considering making a January move for Valencia striker Alvaro Negredo, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
It is widely expected that Tottenham Hotspur will be making a move for a new striker as support to Harry Kane upon the reopening of the January transfer window and many believed that Spurs would be reigniting their interest in West Bromwich Albion star Saido Berahino.
Given the fact that Tottenham angered West Brom with their aggressive pursuit of Berahino in the summer though, it is expected that the Baggies will not look to do business with Spurs in January as well.
As a result, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has been forced to look at transfer targets elsewhere and it has been claimed by the Daily Mail that the Argentinean is planning a shock swoop for Valencia striker Alvaro Negredo.
Negredo has struggled at Valencia since joining the club from Manchester City last season but given the fact that the Spaniard had made a good impression in England, Spurs are said to be looking to take their chance on the 30-year old.
