The last week of the transfer window is often a bit manic and Aston Villa might be back in the market again if they can tie up a deal for Roma’s Serbian winger Adem Ljajic, according to The Mirror.
The midfielder left Fiorentina in order to join Roma in 2013 but now he is open to another move in spite of making 39 appearances for Roma last season in which he scored 9 goals. Roma want around £8 million for the winger and Aston Villa are currently engaged in negotiating a deal with the Roma officials.
A new pacy winger, who can score a few goals, would certainly be a great addition to Aston Villa and it is not a surprise that Tim Sherwood has decided to push for a deal for the player.
However, it is also important for Villa fans to know that Spurs are also in the running and if they manage to sell Erik Lamela for £20 million then they would also be strong contenders if a bidding war were to take place.
