Liverpool have been one of the most proactive clubs in this summer’s transfer window having have tied up a host of superb deals in spite of losing their young starlet Raheem Sterling and according to The Metro the Merseyside club could further reinforce their attacking stock with the addition of Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev.
The Russian winger has been at Real Madrid since his youth but has found it hard to nail down a place in the first team and hence spent the last season on loan at Villareal; however Liverpool’s transfer chiefs believe they could tie up a deal amounting £14 million for the winger.
However, one thing that Liverpool would be wary of is that fellow Premier League giants Arsenal are also interested in Cheryshev’s services and that could trigger a bidding war of sorts. The Reds wouldn’t want a repeat of last year when Arsenal signed Alexis Sanchez in spite of Liverpool offering higher wages.
