The whole of last week was littered with rumours of Barcelona youngster Adama Traore joining an English Premier League club and Liverpool, Aston Villa and Stoke City looked like the frontrunners for his services.
However, in a dramatic turn of events it is Aston Villa who have managed to tie up a deal with the Barcelona B winger, according to Spanish newspaper AS.
Traore who is rated among the best players at Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy, was supposed to go on loan but Villa have managed to make the move permanent by offering the youngster a 3 year deal with an understanding of extending the contract into the 4th year.
The winger would add real European pedigree to the Aston Villa attack and with the departure of Fabien Delph to Manchester City; it must be said that Tim Sherwood has completed a deal that could see the La Masia graduate lighting up Villa Park for many seasons to come.
