Tottenham Hotspur’s search for a new winger could come to an end if they can convince Real Betis winger Alvaro Vadillo, who has a release clause of £17 million to swap Spain for London according to reports in The Express.
It is understood that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of the winger and the club had tried to buy him during the last transfer window in January but an offer was rejected by Real Betis sporting director Vlada Stosic.
Liverpool had also been interested in signing Vadillo, who made his senior debut at the age of 16, but the Reds seem to be out of the equation now and Pochettino believes that a deal could be tied up during this transfer window.
Vadillo, 20, is a player who would add a lot of pace and trickery to their wing play and would be a welcome addition to the Spurs squad.
