Aston Villa are showing real ambition in the transfer window this year as they seek to upstage Liverpool in the race to sign Barcelona winger Adama Traore and according to the Birmingham Mail, the club is willing to make it a permanent move that would see the youngster in action at Villa Park for more than just a solitary season.
However, it must be noted that a loan deal could also be on the table if Barcelona refuse to grant a permanent transfer; even though their interests would be protected with a buyback option.
If the deal is to be a permanent one then Villa could secure that for £7 million with a buyback option while the alternative is to get him on loan.
Earlier in the week it was reported in many sections of the media that Liverpool were almost certain to get him on loan but now Villa seem to have stolen a march on the Anfield representatives.
