The Express have reported that Spurs could make a bid for Real Madrid’s Javier Hernandez.
The offer is likely to be in the region of £8 million pounds for the Mexican.
Javier Hernandez is currently on loan from Manchester Utd and has performed well for Los Blancos, despite receiving few first team opportunities.
Hernandez has proven pedigree as a striker, and has scored important goals for club and country.
He scored the winning goal in Real Madrid’s Champions League clash with rivals Atletico last season, and has scored for Mexico in the last two World Cup tournaments.
Spurs have a realistic chance of making the signing, given that Liverpool have halted their attempts to sign Hernandez, deciding to spend big on striker, Christian Benteke.
Hernandez would join Harry Kane in the Spurs attack next season, providing the London club with two potent attacking options.
Hernandez is a fairly similar striker to Kane, although his game is more focused around converting opportunities inside the box, whereas Kane has proved he is a threat from deeper positions as well.
The signing would almost certainly signal the end for Emmanuel Adebayor, who is being closely watched by Aston Villa.
