Liverpool and Spurs are set to be disappointed in their quest to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder, Mario Suarez according to reports.
The midfielder, who has been a valuable member of the Atletico Madrid squad, could be on the brink of moving to Serie A side Fiorentina.
The deal could be made as part of a swap deal, after Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic recently moved the other way to join the Madrid side.
Fiorentina have history when it comes to importing Spanish and South American players into their squad, and like to play an attractive passing style of football.
Suarez fits that description very well, and should the move follow through, he would be a welcome addition to the Fiorentina squad, that already includes fellow Spanish midfielder Borja Valero, who joined Fiorentina in 2012
The transfer would signal disappointment for Liverpool and Spurs as they continue their search for a versatile midfielder, to improve the depth of their respective squads.
