Antonio Luna’s time as an Aston Villa player has finished, after the full-back sealed a move to La Liga club Eibar.
The Spanish player’s stint in the Premier League began excellently, scoring on his Premier League debut away to Arsenal, on the opening day of the 2013-14 season.
However, despite his endeavours, he has struggled to cement a place in the Villa line-up resulting in loan moves in Italy.
And finally the left-back has joined Eibar, who have offered Luna a lifeline, as he aims to settle at a club.
Eibar remain in La Liga despite finishing in the relegation positions last season.
This is because Elche, who gained enough points to survive the drop, were demoted to the second division due to debt problems.
The transfer of Luna is good business for Basque club. They have signed a capable player who has the potential to perform well for a club such as Eibar, who are likely to be fighting for their La Liga lives next season.
