David Moyes is looking to the Premier League for potential transfers to strengthen his Real Sociedad side. Steven Pienaar and Etienne Capoue are reported targets for the Scot, whilst Joel Campbell is also on his radar.
Any deal for those players is only likely to be on a temporary basis with cash tight at the Anoeta. Both Pienaar and Capoue have seen their playing action limited this season and Moyes is hoping they would prefer swapping the bench for a stint in Northern Spain.
Campbell, who previously played in La Liga with Real Betis, is another target but could choose to link up with a team currently in Europe, such as Villarreal, Sevilla or Olympiacos. That is if Arsene Wenger changes his mind and says Campbell is now allowed out on loan.
Moyes moving for Pienaar wouldn’t be the first time he attempts to raid his former club as Moyes made a failed bid for Leighton Baines, before settling for Marouane Fellaini, whilst in charge of Manchester United.
There have been no further rumours about bringing Adnan Januzaj to Spain, something that was heavily reported at the beginning of the transfer window.
Sociedad currently hover just above the relegation zone and Moyes feels as though he needs reinforcements to ward off the threat of the drop.
