Gareth Bale will not be moving from Real Madrid to Manchester United in January if you believe the views of Spanish football expert Graham Hunter.
Bale has been in Spain for little over a year now, and whilst he appears to have settled in the Spanish capital, he has yet to reach the levels of his illustrious team mates.
Hunter, a regular pundit for Revista de La Liga on Sky Sports says that these are just stories at the moment and that Bale and his family are settled.
“They (Man Utd) have the budget, they tried to sign him, he turned them down when joining Real Madrid,” Hunter said on Sky Sports. “It will not happen unless he goes to Real Madrid and says: ‘Me and my family are not happy here.’
“But that is not the case at the moment, so I think (for now) United can forget it. In the future, maybe, but stories are just stories at the moment.
“There is more to come from him. He is not playing as a complete team footballer at the moment – with all his duties – as he was last season, but he keeps winning those games.”
Bale, who scored the winning goals in both the Copa del Rey and Champions League Finals this year, is currently looking for more silverware at the World Club Championships in Morocco right now. Madrid are through to the final of the competition and sit top of La Liga in a healthy position following 20 consecutive victories.
Madrid will also want to make a profit on Bale, so it would take a monumental bid to prise him away from the Bernabeu for the time being.
