According to Manchester United’s official website, Colombian striker Radamel Falcao maybe on his way to Manchester United next season. Reports from Manchester United and Spanish newspaper Marca are suggesting the 27 year old, whose fine form in front of goal has catapulted his Atletico Madrid side up to third in the La Liga table, is to become a Manchester United player next season despite competition from the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid for his signature.
£42 million is rumoured to be the price tag placed on the South American’s head and it’s ever wonder considering the Atletico man has netted 22 times in La Liga this season and is third in the Pichichi top scorer rankings with his tally only exceeded by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Discussions of Falcao’s future whereabouts have been an ongoing affair in Europe this year with speculation surfacing early on in the season that he was ready to make a high-profile move to Chelsea. With Sir Alex Ferguson’s men reportedly in pole position to sign the 27 year old it’s a scary proposition that football’s hottest property could be partnering the likes of Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney up front for the Red Devils next year.
